Taster Days & Registration:
After your visit, please review the taster day information below. Then contact our Admissions Team at admissions@bedfordgreenacre.co.uk to:
- Arrange your child’s taster days
- Complete the registration form
- Pay the £150 registration fee
Outcome of Application:
Following the taster days and receipt of all information, Mr Daniel, the Principal, will inform parents of the outcome of the application.

Reception
For children starting in Reception Class in September 2026, please click here to see the details of our dedicated event for them.
Years 1-13
We warmly welcome prospective pupils to attend taster days in their current year group. For example, a child currently in year 2 applying for year 3 entry will be invited for a taster in year 2.
What to Expect During the Taster Days:
- Assessments:
- Pupils will complete literacy and numeracy assessments.
- Classroom Experience:
- Children will attend lessons alongside current pupils to experience school life.
- School Reference:
- We will request a reference from your child’s current school and ask parents to provide the latest school report.
- Important: Please inform your child’s current school that we will be contacting them.
Entry – September 2026:
For children applying for entry starting September 2026, we will arrange two personalised taster days on an individual basis during the Spring Term.

our fees.
We recognise the commitment you’re considering when choosing a fee based education for your child, so do all we can to be transparent and flexible in helping you to meet the costs of their education.
For a place in Reception to Year 13, there is an initial registration fee of £150. Then on acceptance of your child to the school you’ll be required to pay a deposit of £600 to secure their place.
For Nursery, the registration fee is £50. Then on acceptance the deposit is £150.
As well as termly fees, there may be extra fees associated to your child’s education e.g. Lunches, Special tuition, Pre School Care or Homework Club.

Bursaries & Scholarships.
At Bedford Greenacre Independent we’re committed to making a brighter future accessible to more students so offer a Bursary Award to parents who need financial support. The value of that award is assessed by our Board of Governors with a view to offering fair opportunities to those considering our school.
We can offer Bursaries within a number of subjects including Sport, Art, Music and Design. And there are Sixth Form Scholarships available within a number of subject areas. Please download our Scholarship Policy, Scholarship application form and Bursary application form.
Please note the following key dates and requirements for applications:
- Deadline: All bursary and scholarship application forms must be submitted by the end of January for a September start date.
- Admissions Process: Your child must complete the admissions process, including attending taster days and satisfactory references, to determine if we can offer them a place before the application is submitted to the Governors.
- Application Review: The Governors will meet in March to review all applications. Parents/guardians will be informed of the outcome by the end of March.
