Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends

I am sure many of you are following the press coverage surrounding the opposing views of the independent school sector, which have come to the fore with the outcry surrounding introducing VAT on education, all of which is quite disheartening. As an educator in an independent school for the past 36 years, I find it extraordinary that children are now at the centre of a political storm, so it was very nice to have a visitor recently who also knows all about the wonderful contributions independent schools make to society and the economy. A member of an Independent School Association, he was extremely surprised and highly delighted that we are “Bucking the trend” and expanding. He was very impressed by our ethos and the positivity of the staff and pupils around the school and thought the plans of the new build were superb, which was nice to hear!
