As we all headed off for the Easter break, some of our senior pupils were gearing themselves up for the silver Duke of Edinburgh expedition.  Everybody enjoyed the experience, so well done to all concerned and thank you to the staff who attended for giving up part of their holiday.

Year 8 pupils will be having taster sessions again for the Duke of Edinburgh Award in the second half of this term and I hope they will sign up for the Bronze Award next year.  The Awards are designed to challenge young people and take them out of their comfort zones; they build character and self-esteem and encourage commitment.
