It was nice to welcome the students back on Tuesday following their long Easter break. I have been talking to many of them throughout this busy week, where I have spent a lot of my time teaching, and they have been delighted to tell me about what they did during the holiday.
I was reassured to hear from our GCSE and Sixth Form students that their break included revision for their upcoming external examinations. It is vitally important that our Year 11s and Year 13s stick to their revision timetables and that they ask the relevant teachers if they are unsure about anything. Of course, the leadership team also operate an open door policy, so if you have any concerns, please contact Mr Jones, Mr Woodward or Mr Evans in regard to academic queries.

Having spoken to some of the students and their parents about these sessions, they really were very well received and useful. Also, this week, I was pleased to arrange specialist workshops for our GCSE students in Years 10 and 11 covering Mathematics and Science. As parents, it is sometimes difficult to know how to support our children in these core subjects, but I hope the students found the sessions informative. I was impressed by the ideas and resources suggested.
